Within every gathering an untold number storylines await the viewer. In these worlds within worlds, loves are found; capers unravel; and the seemingly mundane becomes the profound. These moments wait for an artist’s visualization to craft them into a completed narrative. Welcome to Art in Motion where Chicago’s most fabulous art & film fans took part in a unique interactive atmosphere which was part reality television and part avant-garde cinematic experiment. Utilizing the River East Art Gallery as a backdrop, and many Chicago scenes as the motion, in using all of the features and possibilities of the Nokia N95 8GB, the stories of the evening unfolded.
Throughout the evening of May 7th, 2008, three teams of filmmakers interacted with the crowd shooting and editing short films using Nokia Nseries devices. Their “stage” was the room & the “actors” were our guests. The stories that they came up with were not written down and the final frame was undermined, until now. Join Gen Art and Nokia Nseries as we unveil these films to the world. Enjoy watching what these creative folks have come up with, and please vote for your favorite.
