You Shall Dance.

A chance to do the forbidden dance in a museum? Get your heads out of the gutter!

True confession: I have always loved bingo. More than most people. Possibly more than is healthy for an adult. I also like to dance. And after going through years of Cotillion instruction as a child I know how to waltz and do the Cha-cha-cha, even though the opportunity to show off my ballroom skills rarely comes up.

So you can only imagine my glee when I read about Bingo/Tango, a new event at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Part of their Tuesday Evenings in the Café series, once a month art and tango collide with the old folks home classic; local artists call out the numbers per usual, but the winning configurations are based on famous pieces and in between rounds you learn how to tango courtesy of Argentine professionals.

Yes, it sounds kind of silly and strange. But it also sounds like the perfect no pressure situation for meeting the hipster hottie of your dreams...in a venue a little less intense than their First Friday parties. Admission to MCA is gratis on Tuesdays, so you can swing by early and check out the new Murakami exhibit. Just think, it will give you something interesting to talk about with your partner in between dips!

The Museum of Contemporary Art is located at 220 East Chicago Avenue, (312) 280-2660.
