What Women Want

Clean, understated looks that are classic and modern—but never boring...sign us up!

Remember that time when you rolled out of bed with messy hair, threw on an outfit, and looked oh so chic? Or when you were an English schoolgirl who bore a striking resemblance to Twiggy?

Yeah, we can't either, but we're pretty sure Ulla Johnson can.

The New York native and L.A. transplant has a new fall line that focuses on three things: quality, fit, and simplicity. That's exactly why her models don't wear her clothes, her clothes wear them. Understated, soft fabrics are full of high fashion flair, while her well-known masculine classics like sailor trousers and Henley tees have evolved into light, feminine must-haves in pretty neutrals.

Her short dresses might be daunting if you're not Twiggy, but they're definitely doable; while the line may not be as outrageous Mary Quant's Swinging Sixties hot pants, there is certainly an homage to the mod style that defined an era. Johnson's work has been featured in the fashion spreads of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, and WWD, and now she can be featured on you...who doesn't love effortlessly chic?

Ulla Johnson is available at Chroma, 920 Lincoln Road, (305)695-8808.
