Listen to a bit of First Date, the debut album from duo Villeneuve. This is new collaboration is made up of french producer/composer/singer, Benoit of Villeneuve and the enchanting songstress of Nouvelle Vague, Mélanie Pain. Why are they named after him and not a combination of the two? We don't know. Nonetheless, First Date takes a futuristic twist on French 60s pop music. Pain is a franchophile's wet dream and brings a rich texture to the record with her beautiful, sensual voice. The album reminds us a bit of Air with its electro-beats and haunting vocals.

P.S. Make sure not to miss the remix of the song Spinach Girl. It features vocals from DJ Sylvie Marks and while we cannot confirm this, the opening voice sure does sound like a similar one for the Suicide Girls Radio show. Eh. Enjoy.
