Marylouise Pels and Vanessa Giovacchini are life-long best friends, kick ass DJs with a residency at Circa in Toronto, and the emerging designers behind POSSO the Spat, a line of leather goods and er, well, spats—a footwear accessory that covers part of the shoe and became popular with soldiers over a hundred years ago. The unique pieces are almost as wild as the girls' taste in music; read on for a playlist inspired by the duo's over-the-top new collection for Spring 2009.

From the time in between disco and house, this song is one of the most fun dance tracks that you can't deny—like the positive affirmation of our brand name POSSO (Italian for "I can")—you can't deny the power of manifesting your greatest desires.
6. "Classique #2" (Edit), Hercules and Love Affair
Nomi who sings with Hercules and Love Affair epitomizes the POSSO woman: futuristic style with irresistible glamor, '90s silhouettes, confident yet feminine with raw sex appeal. We met this kindred spirit when she was last in LA and she has been wearing spats ever since!
7. "Get It Up", Radioclit mix featuring M.I.A., Santogold and Gorilla Zoe
This progressive African beat collaboration with some of the underground's finest is unabashedly honest and new—M.I.A. and Santi represent the raw confidence of real style that elicits a desire in us all to evolve and dream beyond the now.
