Web Site We Heart: Shop It To Me

Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Reader, I'm obsessed with online shopping. But like many Miami 20-something girls-about-town, I rarely have any spending money left over after paying my rent each month. Nonetheless, I go to the same Web sites day in and day out hoping that, with a little bit of luck, I can find an item from one of my favorite hard-to-score emerging designers that's in my size and at a price point that won't put me in the negative. It's a tall order, and most of the time fortune is not on my side.

Until now. Shop It To Me, a new Web site that offers the equivalent of personal sample sale shopping, has put the odds back in my favor. Their email alerts tell me when select stores slash prices on pieces from my favorite labels in my size. An extensive designer roster of over 500 brands includes Gen Art fashion program alums like Born, Chaiken, Geren Ford, Hollywould, Ingwa Melero, Lauren Merkin, Milly, Peter Som, Rafe and Vena Cava, and pulls covert-worthy goods from stores like Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's and Bluefly; all you have to do is sign up for a free account, set your preferences and voila—you'll notice an instant change in your shopping karma.

My only warning: Don't get so excited by how easy this site makes scoring emerging designer finds that you go overboard. You wouldn't want to end up like either one of these girls.
