I can still remember the first time I saw her—my girl crush, Zooey Deschanel. It was eight years ago when she played Anita Miller, the rebellious older sister with velcro curlers in her hair in "Almost Famous." Next came "The Good Girl," but I don't remember that as well. Then of course her heartbreaking performance in one of my favorite indies of all time, 2003's "All the Real Girls." She was even in a funny flick that premiered at our 11th Annual Gen Art Film Festival back in 2006, "Live Free or Die."
