Freedom Rings

Thanks to Print Liberation, your casual summer wardrobe just got a whole lot sassier.

I was sitting at my desk last week when David La Cross, Gen Art's Online Marketing Manager, got a special delivery from Print Liberation, a Philly-based creative visual agency and artist collective that also happens to make insanely cheeky screenprinted tees. Reader, I have never seen a grown man look so excited about a pile of t-shirts.

But rightfully so. Unlike the more common offerings found at spots like Urban Outfitters, your typical message tees, these are not; made to appeal to your inner design geek, the beautifully-rendered shirts boast unique, carefully-selected fonts, smirk-inducing slogans and hipster-friendly fits. Among my favorites, the cute-as-a-button "forever and ever" tee for ladies that comes in canary yellow; a unisex "Hang In There" shirt that will make you laugh out loud; and of course, the simple but genius "Obama Head" tees that are getting political types all kinds of hot and bothered. They also have graphic totes and hoodies for sale too, if that kind of thing is more likely to ring your liberty bell.

Feel more inspired to follow in their footsteps than rock one of their rad designs? The Print Liberation guys just released a basic how-to book, The Screen Printing Primer, that if nothing else, will make you appear a thousand times cooler just by sitting pretty on your coffee table; freedom never looked so good.
