Protect Your Music...

And rock the Tinbot.

If you're like me, then your iPod lives in some sort of candy-colored protective skin—practical, but not exactly what I'd call cool or unique. Which wouldn't really matter, except if you're like me, then that also means that you carry the thing with you everywhere you go. It stands to reason that if iPods are the new everyday accessory, then for most of us, it's time for a serious style upgrade.

Enter The Tinbot (the name, a geek chic nod to tin robots of yesteryear), a new generation of iPod cases that feature original designs from world-renowned trendsetters in contemporary urban art. The brainchild of art director Julian Bassermann and photographer/filmmaker Jason Lewis, these graphic but functional cases are constructed of impact-resistant tin and have a neoprene-lined interior to protect against scrapes and bangs, along with ports for your headphones and charger.

Their latest limited-edition collection features designs from buzz-worthy urban artists like Kurt Ketchum and Parra, toy designers Christopher Lee and SKET-ONE, and even includes a Tinbot that you can customize yourself for the more artsy D.I.Y.-types out there. Kind of makes that old plastic case you've been toting around feel more outdated than rocking a Walkman, right?
