Hanky Panky Time
As the weather warms up and the layers come off, our focus turns toward underthings.
When we found out that our fashion program alumni Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock of emerging label Vena Cava were launching a new '70s-inspired line of slips and underwear for spring, it got us thinking about the sartorial importance of what lies beneath. So we decided to do a little digging. Below, three of our favorite new lingerie lines for spring; pick up one of these pieces, or just enjoy the eye candyeither way, we'll never know!
Sexy Panties Naughty Knickers
Leave it to a London-based label to churn out designs that are saucy enough for a night on the town with Amy Winehousewho also happens to be a fan of the line. Photographer-cum-designer Pom Lampson's pretty, silk and cotton pieces are influenced by everything from Christopher Doyle films to the Chrysler Building.
Si Belle
Want to feel like a 1940s Vargas pinup girl? Or at least look like one? Snatch up one of the pastel chiffon and silk offerings from Sibel Mesta's lingerie line, which come complete with details like handmade rosettes and ribbon trim, and celebrate your inner Von Teese.
Lucky Locket
Is it just us or does the model in this naughty, tattoo-inspired line's latest lookbook slightly resemble Diablo Cody? Designer Maggie Schreiber knows her edgy-chic audience, which includes Kate Moss: "I design for girls who may skate by day but wear impossibly high heels at night."
