Now Watch This!

Mark your calendars for four fabulous film events about to go down in Tinseltown.

Friday, March 28th: Reduced-price tickets for "American Zombie"
Cinematic proof that the Undead have feelings, too. Print out the coupon to the left and score six dollar seats to see this funny mockumentary at Laemmele Sunset 5 on opening weekend. Don't miss a special Q&A with director Grace Lee and The Zombies after the 7:30 p.m. showing on Friday and Saturday nights.

Saturday, March 29th: The Seventh Annual Young Directors Night
At this LACMA Muse-sponsored event, the audience, along with a panel of industry judges, determines a winner between the eight short films in competition. (Don't miss "A Moment of Clarity", an entry from our film program alum, Leslie Rathe!) A Q&A session with the filmmakers along with a reception and award ceremony with complimentary appetizers and an open bar will follow.

Wednesday, April 2nd: Melange Wednesdays @ Hollywood Canteen
From French noir to "Ferris Bueller" outtakes this old school hot spot (which was co-founded by Bette Davis back in the '40s) serves up daring cinema and strong cocktails to pretty young things from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. every week. Mention that you're a Gen Art Pulse reader and you'll get a free martini before 9 p.m.!

Thursday, April 3th: "Jack and Jill Vs The World" L.A. premiere
This new release from our alumni director Vanessa Parise stars Taryn Manning as a Cystic Fibrosis patient whose lust for life charms the heart of an uptight Madison Avenue ad executive (Freddie Prinze Jr.). Tickets—which benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation—are 50 dollars per couple, and include a Q&A with the cast and a reception hosted by BJ's Restaurant and Brewery; contact (323) 655-8525 for more information.
