Don't have a date for Valentine's Day yet? We might have just the spot to meet that special someone: The February 13th launch party for True Hookup Confessions, one of our new favorite ways to kill downtime and get a good chuckle, at Santa Monica's Barcopa.

What's it all about? Think PostSecret meets the juicier Missed Connection ads on Craigslist. "Born out of countless romantic calamities, THC is the virtual locker room where the players swap stories and techniques; the girls night out where dirty martinis and disasters are recounted; the therapist's couch when the spice is gone and your boss is looking pretty yummy," the Web site's masterminds explain. "No matter what you've thought or done—or are currently plotting—we'll never judge you."

But that doesn't mean you can't judge the other users. Among our favorite confessions at press time included a "Harold and Maude"-esque post about a young guy hooking up with a woman in her sixties and a pity-inducing story about a once-in-a-lifetime makeout session with a mysterious man at a Hootie and the Blowfish concert. Apparently he did not only want to be with her...
