Dedicated Email: The Artists Den

Who needs front row tickets to the best indie shows when you can get exclusive access from the comfort of your couch?

Our first thought when we checked out The Artists Den? How can you not heart a Web site that spotlights a fallen rock icon like Jeff Buckley? And then we found out about "Live from the Artists Den," their new and innovative weekly music series on Ovation TV that features acclaimed emerging artists performing in extraordinary settings. Goodbye writers' strike induced boredom.

Each hour-long episode will present performance footage from special Artists Den concerts—shows noted for both the caliber of the musicians and the unique locations. A few Gen Art faves they've worked with before: KT Tunstall at the Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan; Josh Ritter at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County; The National at the Metropolitan Building in Manhattan; Clap Your Hands Say Yeah at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami; and The Swell Season (from last year's indie film gem, "Once") at the Good Shepherd Center Chapel in Seattle.

Think MTV Unplugged or VH1 Storytellers, but with bands you actually care about.

Check 'em out starting January 17th, when "Live from the Artists Den" will air Thursday nights at 8 p.m. on Ovation TV, presented by Grey Goose Entertainment. Go to www.theartistsden.com for more details!
