Your Big Fat Greek Vacay
Sure, when you think of Greece, you think of great works of art. Just really, really old ones. But starting this month, Athens is poised to make its mark on the international contemporary art scene when impresario Javier Peres brings his Los Angeles-based gallery Peres Projects to town. (Not to be missed: the debut of new work from artist Matt Greene as part of "Gravity's Rainbow.")
Then, starting on September 10th, you can check out the first ever Athens Biennial which will feature large scale exhibitions, film, and performances by artists such as Bernhard Willhelm and Terence Koh. If you're an art lover, there's never been a better time to go Greek!
