How did you get into t-shirt design?
Well Ted and Angie, the founders of Poketo, really liked my art work. I do woodcuts and mixed media illustration. It was their idea to put my images on t-shirts and wallets. I love the accessibility of t-shirt art.

Where do you look to for inspiration?
I'm inspired by life in general, day to day, travel, friends, nature, music... Most recently I was inspired by the Yoshitoshi print show at the Asian Art Museum.

What are the big trends you see in t-shirts right now?
Pro-earth, anti-war, bright colors and bling. I'm loving the full use of the t-shirt canvas as opposed to the traditional centered image.

Any advice for someone who wants to be where you are now?
Live the life you love and love the life you live. (I'm not sure who originally coined that phrase but it feels very appropriate.) Also remember: Leaving the house can be very confusing, just be yourself and do your best.
