How did you get your start?
Three years ago, I was helping my friend out with his handmade guitar effect company, Death By Audio. My job was to build silkscreens, so I had the technical background. All I had to add was the artistic vision that I've carried with me since I was born!.

Where do you look for to find inspiration?
I have visions and dreams to help me create designs. They are inspired by history (the past) and imagination (the future). I'm a big fan of nature of all kinds, just the complexity blows me away. That's where I get my color-sense from.

What are the big trends you see in t-shirts right now?
I think that so many people want to jump on the "money-train" as quickly as possible, so a lot of large new companies just copy each other. It makes it so that you see the same varied design everywhere. It's great for me, because this way, the originals will stand out more.

Do you ever feel pressure to make your work more mainstream?
I don't feel any pressure, however it never hurts to be successful on some degree. I'm working hard and getting better every day since I started and I know it will pay off one day. It's important that I'm happy with what I do and no one tells me what to do. I don't mind working with people occasionally like celebrity stylist Lori Goldstein (she's worked with people like Kate Moss and Mischa Barton). It's nice to do something different and fun.

Any advice for other up and comers?
It takes dedication, respect for yourself, sacrifice and so much work! You really have to love it. Look no farther than inside yourself. The "easy way" will almost always result in a long and hard road. There are no shortcuts.
