A new international music contest, Diesel-U-Music, finds unsigned artists and then proceeds to play stage mom—sending them on tour, getting them press and trying like hell to make them famous. What's cool about this contest is that it's worldwide, which means anyone from anywhere can submit their songs for consideration. As a Korean-born American, I'd like to know where the Korean representation in music is. That guy from Linkin Park? Really? That's it?

Past finalists/winners of the contest include The Killers, The Bravery (who we interviewed at SXSW), We Are Scientists, Louis XIV, Infadels, The Epochs and DJ Yoda. Quite the list. Finalists are flown to London to perform in front of a live audience, UK's Channel 4, NME, and a slew of music industry folks. So come on, musicians of Korea... and everywhere else. Get it together. Make a run at this thing.
