Midwestern Rockers, Unite!

Fellow Midwest rockers, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin and Headlights sat down with us for a band-on-band interview over a few pitchers in between sets at Mother Egan's in Austin. In the end, everything from the best grub on the road in Europe to the crystal meth epidemic in America was discussed—and they shared a few "moments" too.

Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin's debut record, Broom (Polyvinyl, October 2006) has met a slew of critical acclaim from bloggers and print media. Each month, they release 30 minutes of analog recordings to subscribers through a "tape club" and the praise grows. For years, Headlights have had strong musical vision and immense dedication to their craft. In the wake of their debut LP Kill Them With Kindness (Polyvinyl, August 2006), they have found success and critical acclaim for their powerful pop music and jubilant indie rock. Young, at times shy, but always thoughtful, both bands gave us a glimpse at SXSW through the eyes of fresh-faced newbies in our video below. Enjoy!
