We recently stumbled across a YouTube page for user "ofwildanimals" which we quickly learned is the personal page of indie film starlet Jena Malone ("Saved!," "Donnie Darko," "Life as a House"). Jena supposedly spends her time away from the Hollywood hubbub in Tahoe between shooting films and visiting festivals (most recently at Cannes for "Lying" and soon at Sundance for "The Go-Getter"). From the looks of her new YouTube page, this respected thespian has a bit of cabin fever and she's taking a shot at experimental video that can be done from the safety and comfort of her hometown. You'll find on her page a few short films and music videos and we heard she's recently completed her first album. In the age of actors having a dippy MySpace page, we give props to Jena for putting a little artistic integrity into her online persona and not just a bunch of pretty press shots or pics with other famous friends having dinner at Mr. Chows.
