Chrishabana
By Mike McColgan Chrishabana, Chrishabana, Chrishabana. It's a mouthful for sure. Don't worry. You'll get to used to saying it. You'll also get used to loving this designer's work, as I'm betting that Chrishabana is the next big print thing. Wacky and fun, the designer describes himself as a Crafthlete. For supporting evidence, check out his wild prints of asteroids, drowning girls and another called the "Fly Trap," which features an almost Indian print in cotton vole. I'm not usually for patterns, but these are stunning, wild and beyond eye catching. They are arresting - works of art on the body.
This Brooklyn designer doesn't stop at patterns and prints, but also designs full collections including select jewelery pieces. If you want to get your hands on some of this stellar stuff and don't live in LA or NY, I suggest contacting Chrishabana directly. He's a very nice guy. He can make it happen for you.
