Don't You Forget About Me

Finally! Iconic 80s director John Hughes is getting some real love. Actor Matt Austin is creating a documentary titled "Don't You Forget About Me".

Now, if you're shaky on your
John Hughes filmography (shame on you!), his films include Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Uncle Buck to name some of our favorites. Hughes was the one that brought teenage suburban angst to life and a large part of the 80s to celluoid. The film explores the impact of Hughes' film on the past, present and the medium, while also going into the notion that teenage life should be explored as seriously on film.
This doc could be awesome if it can answer the questions posed on the site's synposis page: What happened to the films that explored that strange period between high school and college? What do teenagers relate to now?

Through a serious of interviews with his actors like Ally Sheedy and film commentors, parents, teachers and studio executives, Austin and his team have a good shot of making it work out.
