Get The Perfect Beach Bag
Suntan lotion? Check. Trashy crime novel? Check. Great bag? That's easy with our three beach ready suggestions for all your gear.
Ever wonder what happens to old sails? Usually, they get discarded, but Portland Maine company Seabags has taken the throw-away material and created fashionable, beach ready bags. Some have stripes or numbers, various colors and different shapes, but all come with a sturdy rope handle straight off the dock. Nautical is in don't ya' know?
For a more upscale beach bag try Marimekko - a Finnish company that produces clothing and bags with notably striking, graphic prints. Big in the 60s and 70s, Marimekko is making a serious comeback right now. The good news is they still retain much of the same flavor as before, with magnified prints and patterns perfect for today. It's the bag for those looking for something just a little unusual and completely fabulous.
For a nice, easy, big bag you should check out the cool printed tote from Loop. It's urban beyond belief with its graffiti like print and contrasting lining. The bag is big enough to hold all the "city" things you hold dear: cellphone, laptop and your little dog, too.
The question really is - what do you want to draw attention to - your bag or the fact that you haven't done a crunch all winter? We'll vote for the tote.
RANDOM TANGENT:
Michelle Pfeiffer was aggressively defensive as a little girl, due to the other children making fun of her 'duck' walk, and big lips. She became a bully and was nicknamed 'Michelle Mudturtle,' a name of which she is still quite fond.
